Project Management
Project management plays a very important role in the successful implementation of a software project. It involves important functions such as project planning, monitoring and control. A project manager has to be in constant touch with the development team, operation manager and the client.
At "Flash Application Development" we understand the importance of project management. We take utmost care when assigning a manager to a particular project. We take care that the project manager has extensive experience in handling the team and is well-versed with the project in question.
Subject knowledge has its own importance in project management, in-adequate subject knowledge on the part of a project manager may result into "chaos" and "project failure". Hence, we take utmost care when assigning a manager to a particular project.
Project Management typically involves functions such as:Project Planning: The manager has to plan in advance as regards the scope of the project, estimation of the work involved, creating a project schedule, deciding on development team members, task assignment plan, project report submission time line for managers & client.
Project Monitoring: Assigning tasks to team members is not sufficient, a project manager has to be constantly in touch with the team members to get update on their work and provide necessary feedback, if any, to the members to ensure smooth project completion.
Project Control: The project manager has to take utmost care to keep project execution in-line with the project plan. If the project deviates from the project plan & schedule, the project manager has to take immediate corrective action to bring the project right on the track. This might involve a number of steps including status meeting with the team members.
